This Saturday, stop by the Green Metropolis Fair, an extravaganza of food, vendors, documentary screenings and educational activities (and a Chingie appearance) hosted by Mindful Metropolis magazine. We go on at noon, but stick around to learn about worm composting, watch a screening of “The Vanishing of the Bees” or pet the adorable farm animals.

The long-awaited Dill Pickle Food Co-op is getting ready to open it’s doors and supply the northwest side with local, sustainable, organic, happy food. To help raise much-needed moneys for the opening, riotous big circus band Environmental Encroachment and Milwaukee roots/jazz/country rockers The Candeliers are joining the I Ching for a big fundraiser bash.
