We’ve got good news and bad news this January. Change is the only constant and it’s definitely true of the I Ching Quartet. We’re losing a couple members to The Wanderlust. Our fiddle player Danahboo & trumpeteer Teddy One-Note will be leaving us for a spell, Danah to Seattle, Ted to France. (more…)
On the second saddest day ever* in the history of the I Ching Quartet, we had our final rehearsal on the porch at 1133 N Winchester, which had been our home since the beginning.
After practicing to death the sexiest soul song in our repertoire, we played some old favorites for old-times sake. Superhero, Raincoat, & Eleanor — where it all began. Eleanor has never sounded sweeter.
Props to all our homies and tolerant neighbors in Ukrainian Village. Thanks to all the friendly faces, happy barking, toddler dancing, and only calling the cops on us once.
* the saddest day to date was when Ricardo left us to widdle and pick blackberries in Vermont.
There are quite a few rumours floating about concerning the I Ching Quartet’s familial ties. Some say they look a little similiar, their mannerisms are the same, they dress alike, they all talk with a vague Upper Midwest accent. Could it be a coincidence? (more…)
