Farewell Ukrainian Village

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

On the second saddest day ever* in the history of the I Ching Quartet, we had our final rehearsal on the porch at 1133 N Winchester, which had been our home since the beginning.

After practicing to death the sexiest soul song in our repertoire, we played some old favorites for old-times sake. Superhero, Raincoat, & Eleanor — where it all began. Eleanor has never sounded sweeter.

Props to all our homies and tolerant neighbors in Ukrainian Village. Thanks to all the friendly faces, happy barking, toddler dancing, and only calling the cops on us once.

* the saddest day to date was when Ricardo left us to widdle and pick blackberries in Vermont.

We got this mysterious letter from a “fan” somewhere in the lower 48.

It smells like the west coast.
