We had an amazing show at Schubas on Sunday. Technical difficulties were at a minimum, energy was high, and the crowd tolerated our instrument changes. Not one tomato was tossed!

Our first foray into amplification went suprisingly well; Stan the soundman was a wizard with our special requests (banjo as snare drum) and our harmonies blended amazingly well. A huge thank you to all who came to support us! And a big thanks to Bowerbirds and The Thin Man.

There’s a snippet about the upcoming show in the online culture magazine, Flavorpill. And The Thin Man is in this week’s Chicago Reader “The List” for Sunday.

After sleeping through a rather cold night next to the woodburning stove in sleeping bags on the floor, we rose and began to think about breakfast.  We had arrived late the previous night, and only had a fresh mango between the five of us.   But it was a delicious mango; we ate it happily and went about working on the recordings for the day.
